I am a lover of vintage dresses and usually snatch them up when I hit the local thrift stores or sometimes I find them on Ebay if I'm lucky.
I have had this particular dress in the closet for years and years not being brave enough to take it out and put it on. I think I may have tried it a few times around the holidays, thinking that it would be a great once a year dress.
On a recent trip to the south I decided to take it out and actually wear it for the day and out to dinner. I can't tell you how great it felt to make a statement dress a daily driver. It felt great and I paired it with some old woven heels that I had.
In the evening I threw on a great light weight shawl.
So, the next time you grab that one thing out of the closet you bought because you loved it and don't ever have the courage to wear it. Put it on and trust me, you'll be glad you did.
